DISRUPTING INTERGENERATIONAL POVERTY, ONE YOUNG WOMAN AT A TIME.
NYEP is not a shelter. It is a behavior-based, results-driven residential program where change is practiced daily, where structure, accountability, and support meet to build lasting self-sufficiency.

Essential — With Reno's lack of affordable housing, Sonder House isn't just innovative, it's essential.
Sonder House fills the critical post-graduation gap, a real-world bridge with soft accountability and structure baked in, preventing regression before true independence takes hold.
01 Behavioral Programming
We don't just provide housing, we develop the behaviors that make independence sustainable.
Trained staff work daily to:
Monitor behavior and document development
Enforce standards and apply natural consequences
Mediate conflicts and coach residents daily
Facilitate life skills classes and weekly goal planning
Guide emotional repair after setbacks
Prepare residents to live, work, and grow without constant oversight
02 Essential Operations
The daily, non-negotiable costs of keeping the house safe, clean, connected, and running:
Utilities: water, electric, garbage, sewer
Communications: cable, WiFi, phone
Shared food and groceries
Cleaning and household supplies
Transportation and emergency needs
Hygiene and medical basics
The CLP is not a theory. It's a working model with measurable outcomes, high standards, and real-world impact. Accountable. Proven. Scalable. With your continued support, we keep building futures, one young woman at a time.
